I did not wish to make a big deal of it at the time, but today I got a bus. The snow was in front of my car a bit, therefore I made the executive decision not to drive the small people to their dad’s and instead use public transport. It has been the best day of my life. I happily travelled within the orange zones of Hastings, clutching my Daytripper ticket, knowing that I could be whoever I wanted to be, and travel wherever I wanted to travel (up to the Hastings/Pebsham boundary, as this is a BLUE zone. Blue zones require a Megarider ticket, which would have been a little decadent). I used my ticket in an excessive and unusual way, causing bus drivers to laugh at my queries regarding zones and maps and travelling directions. For this journey, I was awarded a medal by @beershevakid. It is made from trousers. When I made it home, I checked the back of my head very thoroughly and nobody had even spat on it.
